     Phillip was born in Heidelberg Township, Berks Co, PA, on Sep 6, 1786.3,4,5,6,2
     He married Elizabeth Wenrich before about 1810.7,8,9,2
     They moved his family in 1836. They settled Violet Township, Fairfield Co, OH.10,11,2
     He bought property from James Wright in Fairfield Co, OH, on Oct 12, 1836. He paid $2,800 for land in the NorthEast quarter of Section 25 of Township 15 in Range 20.12
     Phillip was listed as the head of a family on the 1840 Census in Liberty Township, Fairfield Co, OH.13
     Phillip Langel signed a will on September 19, 1848, leaving everything to his wife, Elizabeth, during her lifetime. Upon her death, all property, personal and real, was to be sold at public auction and the proceeds split equally among his children or their survivors. Elizabeth and David were named executors.14
     Phillip was listed as the head of a family on the 1850 Census in Violet Township, Fairfield Co, OH. Phillip was a farmer, whose real property was valued at $4,000. Also listed with Phillip and Elizabeth is Lucinda Decker, their granddaughter, daughter of Elizabeth Langle Decker, who died in 1843.15
     Phillip died on Dec 1, 1850 in Fairfield Co, OH, at age 64.16,8,9,2 He was buried in Dec, 1850 in Job's Cemetery, Violet Township, Fairfield Co, OH.9
     Phillip's will was submitted for probate in Fairfield Co, OH, on Jan 11, 1851. It was recorded in Will Book 4, page 57..17 Phillip's estate was inventoried in Fairfield Co, OH, on Feb 10, 1851.18 Starting Mar 27, 1851, the settlement of his estate was advertised in the newspaper in Fairfield Co, OH.19
     In September 1876, David Langel resigned as executor of Philip's estate, and Daniel and Henry applied for letters of administration, which were granted.20,21 Phillip's land was sold to David Langel and Jack Baney in Fairfield Co, OH, on Dec 28, 1876.22 In Feb, 1877, the administrators filed an accounting of estate income and expenses.23 Income from the estate was distributed to the heirs in February 1877 and January 1878.24 Philip's estate was completely settled and recorded Feb 15, 1879; the final accounting was recorded in Book 26, page 228, box 185.25
