     Elizabeth was a member of Jobs Evangelical Church in Violet Township, Fairfield Co, OH, after 1836.4
     Elizabeth was probably a free white female, age 40 and under 50, in Phillip Langel's household, on the 1840 Census in Liberty Township, Fairfield Co, OH.12
     In Phillip Langel's will on Sep 19, 1848 in Violet Township, Fairfield Co, OH, Elizabeth was named as heir and executor.13
     Elizabeth and Lucinda was listed as a household member living with Phillip Langel on the 1850 Census in Violet Township, Fairfield Co, OH; Phillip was a farmer, whose real property was valued at $4,000. Also listed with Phillip and Elizabeth is Lucinda Decker, their granddaughter, daughter of Elizabeth Langle Decker, who died in 1843.14
     Elizabeth Langel was left a widow by Phillip Langel's death on Dec 1, 1850 in Fairfield Co, OH.15,9,10,2
     She was listed as a beneficiary in Phillip Langel's will in Fairfield Co, OH, on Jan 11, 1851. Elizabeth signed a petition agreeing to the terms of the will (I assume that, as the widow, she was entitled to some sort of alternative dower treatment if she preferred it.)16
     Elizabeth was listed as the head of a family on the 1860 Census in Violet Township, Fairfield Co, OH. Elizabeth had personal property of $1100. She was enumerated next to David and his family..17
     Eliza, Elizabeth, Malinda, Eliza, Henry, Caroline, Elnora, Aaron and Alice was listed as a household member living with David Langel on the 1870 Census in Violet Township, Fairfield Co, OH.7
     David had a well dug on Elizabeth's property in Aug, 1872 in Fairfield Co, OH.18
     David had Elizabeth's house and barn reroofed in Sep, 1873 in Fairfield Co, OH.18
     David rebuilt the floor of the porch on Elizabeth's house in Sep, 1875 in Fairfield Co, OH.18
     Elizabeth died on Jul 11, 1876 in Violet Township, Fairfield Co, OH, at age 85.4,10,2 She was buried circa Jul, 1876 in Job's Cemetery, Violet Township, Fairfield Co, OH.10
     Henry applied for letters of administration in Fairfield Co, OH, on Jul 19, 1876.19 Elizabeth's estate was inventoried in Fairfield Co, OH, on Aug 17, 1876. Her household goods were appraised at $104, her cash was valued at about $230, and her children owed about $2619..20 Henry conducted a public sale of Elizabeth's estate, which generated a total of $517.61. Most of the buyers were family members.21 The estate was completely settled on Dec 20, 1878 in Fairfield Co, OH.18
