     He bought property from Henry and Catherine Slife in Violet Township, Fairfield Co, OH, on Aug 30, 1847. He paid $1600 for the West half of the SouthEast quarter of Section 25, Township 15, Range 20..9
     Adam was listed as the head of a family on the 1850 Census in Violet Township, Fairfield Co, OH. He was a farmer, whose real property was valued at $1200. Sarah, Lora, Elizabeth, and Frances had attended school in the past year. They lived next to Phillip and Elizabeth Langle.3
     They sold property to Frederick Millow in Fairfield Co, OH, on Aug 7, 1852. They received $2,000 for land "which is known and distinguished by being the west half of the South East quarter of Section number twenty five (25) in Township number fifteen (15) and Range number tweny (20) of the lands directed to be Sold at Chillicothe by an act of congress containing eighty acres more or less".10
