     Emma Fredricka Gunnerson was naturalized in 1878; (since the 1900 and 1910 census columns for naturalization are empty, could this very hard to read year be 1918 instead?)8,9
     Emma and Carl moved in 1879 to Lindsborg, McPherson Co, KS.10,11
     Emma was listed as Carl Petter Gunnerson's wife on the 1880 Census in Lindsborg, McPherson Co, KS.4
     She was widowed by Carl Petter Gunnerson's death in Lindsborg, McPherson Co, KS, on Oct 14, 1884.12
     Emma was listed as the head of a family on the 1900 Census in Lindsborg, McPherson Co, KS. Emma was widowed, and the family was living with Gustaf and Kate Hobseth (sp?); since Emma was listed as renting and the Hobseth's owned, I am assuming Emma was renting from them and not necessarily related. Paul was a "student" and Carl was "at school." Emma had had 7 children, 4 of whom were still living. She had been in the U.S. for 32 years, but did not have a year listed for naturalization..5
     Emma was listed as the head of a family on the 1910 Census in Lindsborg, McPherson Co, KS. Emma and her children were renting a house (next to Birger Sandzen!) Lennard worked at the college and Carl was a meat cutter.13
     Emma was listed as the head of a family on the 1920 Census in Lindsborg, McPherson Co, KS. They rented their house at 413 N. Second. Lennard was a teacher - tuner at the college and Carl was a meat cutter in a butcher shop.6
     Emma Fredricka Gunnerson died on Nov 20, 1929 in at home, 409 North Second, Lindsborg, McPherson Co, KS, at age 75.14,2,15 An obituary was published on Nov 21, 1929 in the Lindsborg News - Record in Lindsborg, McPherson Co, KS.15 Emma's funeral was held on Nov 22, 1929 at Bethany church in Lindsborg, McPherson Co, KS.15,2 She was buried on Nov 22, 1929 at Elmwood Cemetery, in Lindsborg, McPherson Co, in KS.2
