     He married Maria Jonasdaughter in Vigdei Hemsjo, Sweden, on Jan 28, 1845.1,3
     Magnus Gunnerson and Maria Jonasdaughter emigrated in 1856 from Kallreda Nastagard, Tolg, Kronobergs lan, Smaland, Sweden; The note appears to indicate 6 males and 1 female left for America.2,6

     He resided in Chicago, Cook Co, IL, in 1856.7 Magnus Gunnerson immigrated on Jul 4, 1856 to Chicago, Cook Co, IL; They traveled through New York. The family arrived two years after what is considered the early peak Swedish immigration year, 1854, when 4,000 people arrived. (Emigration from Sweden reached its all time high in 1888 when 45,000 people came to America.)8,9,10,11
     He resided in Princeton, Cook Co, IL, after 1856.7
     He moved circa 1869 to Saline Co, KS.12,13

     He was a founding member of Swedish Evangelicalistic Lutheran Assaria Congregation in Liberty Township, Saline Co, KS, on Feb 6, 1875. Magnus was involved in the search for a minister.14
     A census listed Magnus as head of household in Liberty Township, Saline Co, KS, on Mar 1, 1875.15
     Magnus was listed as the head of a family on the 1880 Census in Liberty Township, Saline Co, KS.16

     A census listed Magnus as head of household in Liberty Township, Saline Co, KS, in Jun, 1885. In the agriculture records in this census, Magnus is listed as having 152 acres, mostly unfenced, worth $4,000. He had planted 25 acres of winter wheat, 35 acres of corn, 5 acres of oats, and 1/4 acre of Irish potatoes. He had $1,000 of corn on hand on March, 1885. He had 6 acres of pasture and 20 of hay. He had made 200 pounds of butter in the year ending March 1, 1885. He had 2 horses, 2 milch cows, 2 other cattle and 6 swine. He had slaughtered or sold for slaughter $25 worth of animals. He had 1 dog..17
     Magnus was listed in a directory in Liberty Township, Saline Co, KS, in 1885.18
     Magnus died on Feb 8, 1896 in at home, 1/2 mile east, Assaria, Saline Co, KS, at age 83.1,13 An obituary was published on Feb 14, 1896 in the Lindsborg News - Record in Lindsborg, McPherson Co, KS.13 He was buried in Feb, 1896 at Assaria Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, in Assaria, Saline Co, in KS.3
