Mervin M. Hays
Mervin M. Hays, 55, 1106 Highland, died of a heart attack Friday enroute to St. John's hospital.
He was born Aug. 7, 1914, in Chapman and had lived in Salina most of his life. He was a carpenter.
He was a member of the First Covenant Church.
Surviving are the widow, Ruth, of the home, 2 sons, Larry 619 Leslie, and Jim, 919 Highland; 2 daughters, Mrs. Gerard Zemler, Carrolton, Tex., and Mrs. Ben Langel, Wichita; 5 brothers, Clarence, Pasadena, Calif.;Lowell, San Francisco, Calif.; Vernon, 1316 Gypsum; James Salina RFD 3, and Delbert, Wichita; 5 sisters, Mrs. Leslie Lady, San Francisco; Mrs. Charles Jantz and Mrs. Ed Hultman, both of Newton; Mrs Jack Goodwin, Wichita, and Mrs. Nelda Seward, Hutchinson; and 9 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be announced by the Rush Smith funeral home.
