MRS. CARL SMITH
Mrs. Alice M. Smith, 75, 244 Des Moines, died Tuesday at St. John's Hospital.
She was born Dec. 26, 1903, at Niles and spent her life in the Salina community where she worked as a cook. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Dolores McDowell, 254 Des Moines; Mrs. Audrey Burch, 244 Des Moines; Mrs. Jo Ann Lemon, 906 Gypsum, and Mrs. Phyllis Jean Smith, Beaverton, Ore.; a sister, Mrs. Ruth Hays, 1106 Highland; 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Her husband, Carl, died in 1971.
The funeral will be announced by the Chapel Funeral Home where friends may call. The family suggests memorials to the Kansas Heart Association.
