Lois J. Rupert
1946 - 2001
Lois J. Rupert, 54, rural Beverly, passed away Friday, April 20, 2001, at
her home.
Lois was born August 7, 1946, at Salina, Kansas, daughter of Eldon and Julia
(Schwerdtfager) DeWitt. She was a graduate of Marquette High School, and
had lived at rural Beverly for 21 years, moving from Salina. She was a
registered nurse at Asbury Hospital in Salina, and was a member of St.
Patrick's Catholic Church, Lincoln.
She was preceded in death by her father, Eldon DeWitt.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry, of the home; two daughters, Julie
Reilly, Wichita, and Amy Fisher, rural Marquette; her mother, Julia DeWitt,
Hutchinson; three brothers, Jim DeWitt, Wichita, Kenny DeWitt, Salina, and
Tom DeWitt, Falun; and one sister, Linda Crane, Buhler.
A memorial service was held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2001, at St.
Patrick's Catholic Church, Lincoln, with Rev. Ralph Aschenbrenner
officiating. Private family burial was in the Excelsior Cemetery, southwest
of Marquette.
Memorials may be made to the church or Hospice of Salina.
Olson's Funeral Home, Marquette, was in charge of arrangements.
