Petition for Letters of Administration
State of Kansas, County of Saline, ss.
in the probate court of said county.
In the Matter of the Estate of Robert H. Dihle, Deceased.
And now comes George W. Dihle and represents that Robert H. Dihle, late of the said County of Saline on the 15th day of May A.D. 1903 died, as your petitioner verily believes, having made no Last Will and Testament; that said deceased had, at the time of his death, personal property in the State of the probable value of Six Hundred Dollars, which may be lost, destroyed, or diminished in value if speedy care be not taken of the same; that said deceased left the following heirs, viz.:
Amanda May Redford nee Dihle his daughter aged over 18 years;
Ida May Dihle his daughter aged over 18 years;
Amelia Ella Mercer nee Dihle his daughter aged over 18 years;
George Washington Dihle his son aged over 21 years;
Josephine Agnes Hood nee Dihle his daughter aged over 18 years;
Elsie Edna Strickler nee Dihle his daughter aged over 18 years.
To the end, therefore, that said property may be collected, preserved, and disposed of according to law, your petitioner hereby prays that Letters of Administration may be granted on the estate of said deceased, and that he may be appointed such Administrator

Findings by the Court.
And Now, on this 20" day of May A.D. 1903 and at the May term of said Probate Court, upon examination of the petition of George W. Dihle and in consideration of the evidence produced in this behalf, and the court being fully advised in the premises, the Court makes the following findings, to-wit: That the said Robert H. Dihle died on the 15th day of May A. D. 1903 at Salina, Kansas, that the names and places of residence of the sole heirs at law of said deceased are as follows, to wit:
Amanda May Redford nee Dihle his daughter aged over 18 years;
Ida May Dihle his daughter aged over 18 years;
Amelia Ella Mercer nee Dihle his daughter aged over 18 years;
George Washington Dihle his son aged over 21 years;
Josephine Agnes Hood nee Dihle his daughter aged over 18 years;
Elsie Edna Strickler nee Dihle his daughter aged over 18 years.
that said Robert H. Dihle died intestate; that the personal property belonging to said estate is worth about $600.00; that said George W. Dihle is competent and willing to discharge the duties of administrator of said estate.

Order Granting Letters.
And now, on the 20" day of May 1903, and at the May term of said Probate Court, comes George W. Dihle and files his petition praying the said Court to appoint him administrator of the estate of Robert H. Dihle deceased, and the Court upon examination of said petition, and hearing testimony in support thereof, does order and adjudge that letters of Administration be granted and issued to the said George W. Dihle upon his executing unto the State of Kansas a good and sufficient bond in the sum of $1500.00 signed by two or more good and sufficient sureties to be approved by the Court, filing his oath as such Administrator as required by law.

Know all Men by the Presents:
That we George W. Dihle as principal, and The United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company of Baltimore Maryland as sureties, are held and firmly bound unto the State of Kansas in the sum of Fifteen Hundred Dollars, to the payment of which, well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our executors and administrators, firmly by these presents. Dated, signed and sealed by us, this 20 day of May A.D. 1903.
The condition of the above obligation is such, that whereas, the above-bounden George W. Dihle has been duly appointed by the Probate Court in and for the County of Saline and State of Kansas, Administrator of the estate of Robert H. Dihle deceased:
Now if said Administrator shall make and return into said Probate Court, on oath, within sixty days from this date (or sooner, if ordered by the Probate Judge), a true inventory of all moneys, goods, chattels, rights and credits of said deceased, which have or shall come to his possession or knowledge, and also of the real estate of said deceased, and shall administer according to law all the moneys, goods, chattels, rights and credits of the said deceased, and the proceeds of all his real estate that may be sold for the payment of his debts, which shall at any time come to the possession of said Administrator or to the possession of any other person for him, and shall render, upon oath, a true account of his administration annually, and at any other times when required by said Probate Court or by the law; and shall pay any balance remaining in his hands upon the settlement of his accounts to such persons as said Probate Court or the law shall direct; and shall deliver the Letters of Administration into the Court in case any will of said deceased shall be hereafter proved and allowed then this obligation to be void; else in full force and effect.

Order Approving Inventory
And now, on this 20" day of May, A. D. 1903, and the May term of the Probate Court of the County of Saline aforesaid, comes George W. Dihle, administrator of the estate of Robert H. Dihle deceased, and presents to the Court an inventory of the real and personal property belonging to the said estate, and prays the Court to examine said inventory and if found to be correct, to enter an order approving the same. Thereupon, the court examined said inventory, and heard the evidence in support thereof, and does find from such examination, and the evidence adduced, that said inventory contains a true and correct statement of all the property belonging to said estate that has come to the knowledge and possession of said Administrator and the same hereby are approved, and ordered spread upon the records of this Court.
