MRS. DE WITT DIES
Funeral Friday for 82 Year Old Salina Woman
Mrs. Ida May DeWitt, 82, a resident of Salina since 1926, died at 8:50 Wednesday night. She has lived here with her daughter, Mrs. A. W. Sherman, 611 West Grand since the death of her husband, Samuel J. DeWitt, May 27, 1942. Mrs. DeWitt was a native of Nebraska, where she was born in Richardson county November 27, 1861. Besides the daughter with whom she lived there are other sons and daughters, Ira L. DeWitt and Mrs. Bertha Webster in Ellsworth; Clyde H. DeWitt at Wakeeney; Lyle B. DeWitt at Wilson; Mrs. Mary Weaver in Shelbina, Mo.; and Mrs. Florence Stites, Denver, Colo.
A member of the Nazarene church, Mrs. DeWitt had devoted her life to interests connected with her church and home. Her body is at the Salina Funeral Home, where it will remain until the funeral, which will be held there Friday at 2:30, Rev. J. Paul Reid conducting the service. Interment will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
