Hays-Hoskins
Miss Luella Hays and Mr. Frank Hoskins were married on February first at St. Johns parsonage in Kansas City, Kansas but they kept the matter a secret until this week when the bride told her friends. Mrs. Hoskins was reared at Chapman and came to Herington about three years ago to take a position in the master carpenter’s office. For some time she has been assistant material clerk in the superintendent’s office.
The groom came to Herington in the spring of 1917. He enlisted in Company 1 and stayed with that company in France. Since his return from overseas he has been holding apposition in the superintendent’s office, resigning only a few weeks ago to go out west and look after his claim.
Mr. Hoskins is a young fellow of marked personality and very popular. He selected a bride of unusual worth. Mr. and Mrs. Hoskins have many friends who extend congratulations. They have not decided where they will locate.”
