[p. 192] GREEN, JAMES (George James), of Westmoreland Co. Manley Galley, Sept., 1777; later midshipman on Tartar. Served till summer of 1781. Removed to Fauquier Co.; md. in Feb., 1792, by "Parson Craig" to Frances Brown, whose mother [p.193]was a Fletcher. Oldest son, Hedgman Green (b. 1793); Aaron Green was born in June, 1803. James Green died Aug. 25, 1847, in his 92d year. His widow lived in Rappahannock Co. USP.
