MRS. MERLE M. SHERMAN
Mrs. Merle May Sherman, 79, 916 University, died Tuesday at the Good Samaritan home in Ellsworth, where she had lived 4 months.
Mrs. Sherman was born July 4, 1890, in Dubois, Neb. She had lived in the Salina area most of her life and was a registered nurse.
She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors are a stepson, Ed H. Sherman, 109 S. Front; a step-daughter, Mrs. Percy Powers, Perryton, Tex.; 2 sisters, Mrs. Florence Stites, Aurora, Colo., and Mrs. Fayette Weaver, Miami, Fla.; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.
The funeral will be at 2 pm Thursday at the Guy R. Ryan Sons mortuary, the Rev. Donald Crenshaw officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn memorial park.
The family suggests memorials to the church. Friends may call at the funeral home.
