GOLDIE MARIE (MOORE) WELLS
November 25, 1910 ~ December 18, 2012
Goldie was born to Phoebe and Forrest Moore on November 25, 1910 in Smith Center, Kansas. She spent her early years on the family ranch where she rode her horse 5 miles each way to the town's one room school house. In 1930 she married Laurel Max Wells and they moved to Oregon in their first car, a Model-T. Goldie worked in personnel at the Vancouver Penney's as well as a homemaker and mother to her two children, Sharon and Duane. She had a love of all animals and was an avid gardener her entire life. She was also an accomplished artist and won several awards for her oil paintings.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Max.
Goldie is survived by her daughter, Sharon Aldridge; son, Duane; grandchildren, Karen Evans (Jerry), Eric Aldridge (Lori), Kimberly Aldridge, Dawn Jordan (Jay); seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A special thanks to the loving care provided by her daughter Sharon, Hospice, and the staff of Felida Lodge.
A celebration of life will be hosted at the home of Karen Evans on Sunday, December 23rd from 2-4p.m.
