Suffers Pains After Accident

Carl Henry Smith, 62, 211 N. Front, Sunday is recuperating from a neck injury suffered Friday in a 2-car crash in the 300 block of north Santa Fe.

Police said Smith was driving north on Santa Fe and stopped at the Union Pacific Railroad tracks.

A second car, also being driven north on Santa Fe by Edward K. Leins, Overland Park, collided with Smith's car, police said.

Smith was taken to St. John's Hospital after complaining of pain in the neck. He was X-rayed and released.
