Mrs. Hattie Johnson Dies
Had Been Resident of Saline Couny 48 Years
Mrs. Hattie Olive Johnson, 77, mother of Mrs. George Sawaya, 1006, with whom she made her home, died there this morning.
Mrs. Johnson was born July 19, 1866, in Sweden coming to America at the age of six with here parents who settled first in Chicago and later in Lindsborg. Mrs. Johnson, widow of Swan Johnson, had lived in Saline county since 1895. Surviving sons and daughters are Mrs. Josie Fuller, Arthurs, Fred and Ben Johnson and Mrs. Sawaya, all of Saline. Leroy Johnson, Augusta Mrs. Anna Fulle, Emporia, Frank Johnson, Richland, Wash., Leonard Johnson, Alaska, and Richard, Joseph and Davide Johnson, Mitchell, S. D. Brothers are Carl Pohlhammer, Salina, and John and Harry Pohlhammer, both of whom live in California. Forty-four grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Mission Covenant church.
The body will lie in state at the Ryan Mortuary pending word from relatives.
