Philbert E. McDowell
Philbert E. McDowell, 58, 254 Des Moines, died Sunday at the Veteran's Hospital, Denver, Colo.
Mr. McDowell was born March 30, 1926, in Salina and was a lifetime resident of the area. He was the former owner and operator of McDowell's Craft Shop, 248A S. Santa Fe, and retired in 1969. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
He is survived by his wife, Delores, of the home; one child, Linda McCully, Erie, Colo.; one brother, Wayne McDowell, Rt. 6; two sisters, evelyn Chilen, 1101 Crown Ct., and Clara Yerke, Denver; and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Ryan Mortuary, the Rev. David Morris officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
Memorials may be given to the Free Methodist Church or the Heart Fund.
