     Otto was listed as the head of a family on the 1920 Census in King Co, WA. Otto's occupation is almost illegible, but it looks like he was a contractor (everyone else on the page worked for the coal mines). The family was renting. Gertrude and Isis were in school.3
     Otto Orris Phetteplace was listed as a boarder at Camp #3 -- St. Paul and Tacoma Lumber Co. on the 1930 Census in Kapowsin Precinct, Pierce Co, WA. Otto was a piledriver superintendent at a lumber camp. He was listed as single, although Alice was enumerated in Portland..4
     Otto Orris Phetteplace died after 1940.1
