Mrs. Loretta Hays, wife of James P. Hays, died at their home on Monday, May 20. She was the daughter of J. O. Phetteplace, one of the oldest settlers of the county. Mrs. Hays was 32 years, 2 months, and 15 days old and leaves three children, the eldest being 13 years of age and the youngest an infant, to mourn with the husband her untimely death. The sympathy of the entire community is extended to the family.
