The last will and Testament of Philip Lengel of Violet Township in the County of Fairfield; I Philip Lengel, Considering the uncertainty of this mortal Life, and being of sound mind and memory (blessed be Almighty God for the Same) do publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following (that is to say) First it is my will that all my just Debts as shall be by me owing at my death, together with my funeral Expences[sic], and all Charges touching the proving of or otherwise concerning this my will Shall in the first place out of my personal estate and effects, be fully paid and Satisfied, and from and after payment thereof, then my will is that the residue both real and personal property Shall be and belong to my beloved wife Elizabeth During her natural life, or as long as She may remain Femme Sales and after the death of my said wife Elizabeth Lengel, then my will is that all my estate both real and personal shall be disposed of at Public Sale and the proceeds of the same to be divided Equally amongst all my children Share and share alike or the Survivors of them, and I hereby appoint Elizabeth Lengel my said wife, and my eldest son David Lengel sole Executors of this, my last will and Testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made, in witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal, the ninteenth day of September in the Year of Our Lord, one thousand Eight hundred and forty eight
