Helen Bounds Langel

A funeral service celebrating the life of Helen Bounds Langel, 90, of Stoughton, Wisconsin, formerly of Kirkersville, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2008 in the chapel of the Hoskinson Funeral Home, Kirkersville, with Pastor Richard Rothemich officiating. Burial will follow at Kirkersville Cemetery.

Helen passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 31, 2008, at the St. Mary's Care Center, Madison, Wisconsin, following a brief illness. She was born April 14, 1917, in Buckeye Lake, and lived most of her life on the farm in Kirkersville.

Helen was a wonderful homemaker and mother, she also worked for many years as the officeclerk at Scotts Variety Store in Reynoldsburg. Helen was also very involved with the Bounds Addition at Buckeye Lake. She was a member of the Kirkersville UM Church, and recently received her 70 year pin from Eagon Chapter #123, Order of Eastern Star at Hebron.

Helen is survived by her loving family: Her daughter, Lynn (Charles) Spencer; her son, William (Linda) Langel; three grandchildren, Laurie, David and John Langel; in laws, Ralph Herriott, Jack & Irene Godfrey; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Langel; father, Linsey Bounds; mother, Julia Slocumb Bounds; brothers, John, Charles and Nelson Bounds; sisters, Margaret and Mary Bounds and Bernice Barb.

Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 12, 2008, from 4-7 p.m., at the Hoskinson Funeral Home, 285 E. Main St In Kirkersville, where an on-line guest register and video tribute is available at www.hoskinsonfuneral. com. Eagon Chapter #123 OES will hold Eastern Star Services at 6:30 p.m.

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy in the form of memorial contributions be made to the Kirkersville United Methodist Church, PO Box 7, Kirkersville, Ohio 43033.
