MOORE -- Samuel A. Moore of 1995 Todd Street, Eugene, passed away May 7, 1979 at his home. He was born February 24, 1893 in Athol, Kansas. He was a member of the Friendly Street Church of God and a veteran of World War I, serving the U. S. Army. He owned and operated the Club Barbershop on Olive between 1942 and 1969. He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. James (Thelma) Alderman, grandchildren James A. Alderman, Kay J. Schultz; great-grandchildren James and Jason Alderman and Darla, Ginger, and Jay Schultz, all of Eugene, sisters Gilda Cannon of Hawthorne, California, Lilly Curtis of Torrington, Wyoming, a brother, Hudson Moore of Grand Island, Nebraska, numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary E. Moore, February 1, 1978. Graveside services wil be held Thursday, May 10, at 2 p.m. at Lane Memorial Gardens. Dr. David New officiating.
