The case of Wm. Stewart vs. Geo. R. Green commenced in the Common Pleas Court on Monday and will probably contin e[sic] all week. Court adjourned last night till 1:30 p.m. to-day on account of Judge Hunter being called to Mt. Vernon on business. The plaintiff in the case alleges that the defendant did, on or about the first of March, 1880, and on or about the 20th of March, 1882, and on other days and at divers places between the said dates, wickedly debauch and carnally know Francis I. Steward, then and still being the wife of said plaintiff. Stewart sues for $10,000 damages. The case is attracting large crowds of spectators, and the evidence furnished is very sensational.
