Daisy Gunnerson Dies at Chanute
Had Been Matron of Bethany Home Ten Years -- Services Sunday
Miss Daisy Gunnerson, who for the past ten years had been matron of the Bethany Home for the Aged, died at the Johnson Hospital in Chanute yesterday morning. Her age was 55 years, five months and 15 days.
She became seriously ill nine weeks ago when she was on her way to Yates Center for a visit with her sister, Miss Lillie Gunnerson. She was rushed to the Chanute hospital for treatment.
Since her arrival at the hospital there had been no improvement in her condition and for the past few weeks she had been unconscious most of the time.
The nearest relatives surviving are her sister, Miss Lillie Gunnerson of Yates Center, and a brother, Reuben Gunnerson of Lindsborg.
The body will lie in state at the Danielson Funeral Home until the hour of the funeral.
Services will be held Sunday afternoon at the Bethany Home at 2 o'clock and at the Bethany Lutheran Church at 2:40 p.m. Dr. Alfred Bergin will be in charge.
Initerment[sic] will be at Elmwood Cemetery.
