Installs Modern Refrigerating System
A step forward indeed is the least that one can say in commenting upon the installation of a modern Ice-Refrigerating system by the Carl Gunnerson Meat Market. Mr. Gunnerson has for some time had in mind a move of this kind in order to supply his many customers the very best in meats and equip his place on a par with the modern markets of the day, keeping well in mind the economy, efficiency and durability of operation and service to the trade.
The new system known as the Sterling Mechanical Ice-Refrigerating System is complete and modern in every detail. Its operation is absolutely mechanical in every respect, placing at ones command any desired temperature which is automatically controlled. The Gunnerson Meat Market plant consists of an elaborate Freezer Counter, in which is placed a variety of meats in full view of the customer, presenting a most attractive display. A small refrigerator is also a part of the equipment while the large storage room is one that any market could have every reason to be proud of; with the desired temperature of the entire plant being supplied and maintained from one point by way of this new system.
The new equipment, which eliminates the use of ice, consists of specially built and arrangement of pipes for the purpose of refrigeration, mechanically operated by a powerful amonia compressor and electric motor, and through this operation any temperature can be maintained at all times with an added feature of positive automatic control under all conditions.
The improvement is indeed a most commendable one and Mr. Gunnerson feels that he will now be better able to supply his customers with the very best in meats and in a more practical and economical way. He will be glad to show the plant and explain the operation of same together with its many advantages.
