Bad Runaway

Granville, O., June 10 -- A frightful runaway occurred here about 5 o'clock last evening, which caused a thrill of horror to those who witnessed it. Mr. Chalmers R. Wilson and Miss Pearl Green, highly respected young people of Outville, were driving along Broadway when the electric car from Newark came in, running at a good rate of speed. The horse driven by Mr. Wilson was a very ferocious animal and became frightened at the car. He ran in the curbing on the south side of the street, and whirling suddently sprang suddenly across a small ridge, overturning the buggy and throwing the occupants out onto the ground, but fortunately neither was injured. The animal then ran across the street and into a yard where he whirled suddenly, the buggy crashing against trees the while, and made a wild dash for the street. He ran against the chain on the hitchingposts, and was thrown to the ground. An examination showed that the horse was but slightly injured. It was one of the wickedest runaways evern seen in the village.
