The seventy-fifth birthday anniversary of Mr. A.F. Gunnerson, of Assaria, was the occasion for a surprise picnic celebration in his honor Sunday evening at Oakdale Park. The picnic supper was served to guests from Topeka, Fremont, Lindsborg, McPherson, Mentor, Salina and Assaria who were firends and relatives of the honor guest. Those present from Salina were Mrs. Sarah Mattson, M/M Phillip Moreen, M/M Vaughn Maneval and son Lew, Mrs. Mary Youngberg, M/M C.O. Burt and son Warren, M/M Carl Youngberg and children Robert and Mary Lou, M/M F.A. Neel and daughters Joan, Delores, Audrey and Phillis Jean. Richard Bugher, M/M Mervin Hays and daughter Janice, M/M Charles Resser and daughter Charlotte, M/M Clifford Burt, M/M Vernon Hays, Misses Charlotte Owens, Edna Moreen and Betty Moreen, Mr. Robert Moreen and Mr. Tom Moreen.
