Clein James Hays
Clein James Hays, 77, Salina, died Saturday, Jan. 31, 1998, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.
Mr. Hays was born July 11, 1920, in Geary County. He was raised in Salina and moved to California where he did sheet metal work. He moved back to Salina inn 1946 and worked for various sheet metal shops retiring in 1981 from Kendell Inc.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marilyn Conaway, in 1987.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret of the home; a son, Ron of Salina; three daughters, Betty Rodriguez of Lorian, Ohio, and Linda Sue Before and Joyce Smith, both of Salina; two brothers, Clarence of Red Bluff, Calif., and Delbert of Wichita; three sisters, Pearl Hultman of Newton, and Rosa Lee Goodwin and Nelda Seward, both of Hutchinson; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ryan Mortuary, the Rev. Doug McHenry officiating. Burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.
Memorials may be made to First Covenant Church, Salina.
Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina, 67401.
