Petition Filed In Conn Case
A petition was filed in Dickinson County Juvenile Court Monday morning seeking to sever parental rights of Mrs. Charles Conn, Solomon, for six of her seven surviving children.
Her husband, Charles, 50, and daughters, Donna Marie, 16, and Joyce Ann, 4, were killed in a car-truck collision Thursday near Kipp.
Also injured in the crash were James Ronald, 10; Merlin Lynn, 7; Gary David, 6, and Melvin Lee, 5. Three of the nine Conn children -- Charles jr., Raymond and Alvin -- and Mrs. Conn were not in the car at the time of the accident.
A hearing on the dependency and neglect petition will be at 2 pm Wednesday in the juvenile court, Probate Judge John Dieter said Monday.
