Orice L. Hays Dies On His Way to Hospital
Orice Lee Hays, 60, for 16 years a resident of Salina and driver of a taxi with the Bell company, died at 11 o'clock this forenoon of a heart attack while on the way to the hospital. His home was at 401 East Republic.
A native of Kansas, Mr. Hays was born in Smith County December 15, 1884. His wife died in 1935, and in the immediate family now are his mother, Mrs. Drewzella Hays, Chapman, and 11 sons and daughters. They are Mrs. Vera Lady, Vernon Hays, Pearl Hays, Mrs. Rosa Lee Goodwin, Nelda and Delbert Hays, all of Salina; Clarence Hays, Brooking, S.D.; Lowell Hays, San Francisco, Calif.; Mervin and Clein Hays, Hutchinson; and Mrs. Lila Jantz, Newton. There are three sisters, Mrs. May Frank, California; Mrs. Luella Hoskins, Missouri and Mrs. Harriett Frazier, Chapman.
No funeral arrangements will be completed until word arrives from relatives. The body is at the Ryan Mortuary. Burial will be at Chapman.
