Lila B. Jantz
Tulsa, Okla. -- Lila B. Jantz, 75, homemaker, died Friday (Feb. 21, 1997) at St. John's Hospital in Tulsa.
She was born Aug. 25, 1921, in Junction City to Orice and Effie DeWitt Hays. She married Charles A. Jantz on July 21, 1940, in Salina. He died Nov. 3, 1991.
She was member of the Golden Plains Free Methodist Church of Newton. She was also a partner in Sisters Upholstery Shop of Newton.
Survivors include three sons, Stanley Jantz of Hoisington, O. Pete Jantz of Belle Plain, and Daniel Jantz of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; three daughters, Charlotte E. Shaffer of Tulsa, Okla., Cynthia Lock of Shell Knobb, Mo., and Jerusha Liggett of Belle Plain; three brothers, Delbert Hays of Wichita, Jim Hays of Salina and Clarence Hays of Meadow Valley, Calif.; three sisters, Pearl Hultman of Newton, Rose Goodwin and Nelda Seward, both of Hutchinson; 24 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Samuel Jantz.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Golden Plains Free Methodist Church in rural Newton with the Rev. Charles Kaufmann officiating. Burial will be in the Eastlawn Cemetery in Zimmerdale. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. today at Petersen's Funeral Home.
